Deze quote van Cortazar leek mij toepasselijk om een serie uitspraken, aforismen en citaten van wijze en onwijze mensen mee te beginnen. Elke quote van een ander zegt namelijk ook iets over jezelf. Of je het er nu mee eens bent of niet, altijd gebruik je het om je eigen mening te benadrukken. En leen je bovendien het gezag van de ander om jouw standpunt kracht bij te zetten. Dat zal ze leren. Daar ben ik het natuurlijk mee eens. Maar soms is een quote ook gewoon leuk of inspirerend. Zet ie je even aan het denken. Wie weet onthoud je hem misschien wel. Daarna duurt het niet lang voordat je vergeten bent dat je hem hier vandaan hebt, van Rizoomes quote. Zo gaat dat.
